Joseph A. Search
DMD
Dr. Joseph Search was born in Livingston, New Jersey. He grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. He received his Bachelor of Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned early acceptance into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and received his doctorate in 2010. Upon graduation, Dr. Search entered a yearlong residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Montefiore and received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
He had been practicing general dentistry in Selinsgrove, PA for four years prior to moving to the Harrisburg area with his family in 2014, where he continues to practice cosmetic and family dentistry today as a partner with the Verber Dental Group. Dr. Search was recognized and featured in Inside Pennsylvania Magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” special edition for his involvement and work within the Central Pennsylvania community. He loves interacting with his patients and prides himself on taking the time to foster professional, long-lasting relationships with his patients. Sensitivity to patients’ needs and strong standards of quality are the core of Dr. Search’s practice of dental medicine. He resides near Linglestown with his lovely wife, Rebecca, and his three children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, fishing, and running.
Dr. Search is very involved in the Central Pennsylvania Community. He is an associate professor at Harrisburg Area Community College where he works and teaches with the Expanded Function Dental Assisting Program. Dr. Search served as a dental member of the South Central Pennsylvania Opioid Awareness Coalition which brings together health-care professional associations and organizations to address the opioid addiction and heroin crisis through awareness, education and action. He has also served as a dental advisor to Skipta which is a leading social network of specialized online medical communities for verified healthcare professionals across the country.
Dr. Search loves sports and loves to coach and mentor at the youth levels. He is both a youth baseball coach for the Linglestown Baseball Association and a youth soccer coach for the Capital Area Soccer Association.
He attends numerous continuing education courses every year, focusing on all areas of preventive/restorative dentistry and Implant Dentistry, so he can continue to provide his patients with the highest standard of care. He is a member of the Dawson Academy which focuses on practicing complete dentistry with a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Implantology. Dr. Search is working towards becoming a Scholar of the Dawson Academy. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and the Susquehanna Valley Implant Study Club.
