Meet Dr. Kolluri
NITHYA KOLLURI
DMD
Dr. Nithya Kolluri grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA, and is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where she studied chemistry and psychology and earned a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. During her time at Pitt, Dr. Kolluri was inducted into the Psi Chi Honors Society for psychology and served on the board as the academic chair. Dr. Kolluri was a lab intern at Pitt’s School of Dental Medicine, where she helped conduct research with the DNA repository lab. In her free time, she volunteered weekly through the America Reads program, tutoring students who needed extra enrichment at a local elementary school.
Dr. Kolluri earned her DMD and graduated with honors from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her time there, she was chosen as a student ambassador and was a member of Women in Dentistry and the Dental Esthetics Society. She is still involved with her alma mater and helps with the admissions committee in conducting interviews. Dr. Kolluri looks back fondly over her time at Temple, as it was not only where she was able to pursue her dream, but also where she met her husband. Dr. Kolluri enjoys learning and keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry, taking continuing education classes throughout the year. She is committed to providing exceptional dental care for her patients. She is trained in all areas of restorative dentistry, including crown and bridge, removable denture, implant restorative, oral surgery, and endodontics. She has an additional license to use nitrous oxide, which she offers to her patients with increased fear of the dentist. She is passionate about providing quality care for her patients and making them feel at ease.
Dr. Kolluri is happy to be back in her hometown, serving the community that she loves. Currently, she is an adjunct professor at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and teaches students in the Dental Hygiene Clinic. In her free time, Dr. Kolluri enjoys traveling the world with her husband, spending time with her family, reading, and rooting for the Eagles. Some of her favorite trips have been visiting the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador and hiking in Switzerland.
